I was really wodering what is everyones opinion about which care is the best, STi or Evo. State whether you plan to buy one of the two and the benefits of etheir one.
Thanks for reading and helping me to decide the better choice

I always liked the EVO 6. The EVO 8 looks a bit boxy for my taste. I dont like the re-design headlights the STI has. Guess I will be keeping the WRX.
If somebody put a gun to my head I guess I would have to say...STI is best. Only because I am a soobe guy

In my admittedly-bench race based opinion, the STi would be ther better 'road car' and the EVO would probably be better on the race track. I prefer the car I can take anywhere, anytime and dominate. Which would be the STi.

I agree with Ban SUVs. If I wanted a track car, I would go with the Evo. If it was a daily driver that I would occasionally put on the track, I would go with the STi. Out-of-the-box, most of the current tests show the Evo will outperform the STi on the roadcourse (I'm not into 1/4 mile). It could be the tire difference (Evo comes with 235's and the STi with 225's and I think the Evo has a stickier compound so the STi might beat it if it had the same size/type of tires).
The other concern is that the Evo engine is probably much higher strung (17 or 19 pounds of boost ) and I suspect engine longevity won't be as good as the STi.
The only problem I have with the STi is NO WAGON!

Here's my approach:
Lurk on the boards for a few months after release.
Get some honest impressions from OWNERS about what they like, and don't like.
Watch for complaints about serious or nagging problems.
Drive both cars and pick the one you prefer.
I drive a WRX, but am leaning toward an Evo at the moment (I like raw cars more than refined cars), but have some misgivings about Mitsubishi quality.
It will be interesting to see the complaints over on the Evo board.
