I have the rubbing squeek noise somewhere in my engine bay, when i hit a bump or switch gears i hear it. i brought to subie and they were clueless. Im thinking its something to do with the exhaust hangers. Did this ever happen to anyone else?

 

exhaust hangers aren't inside the engine bay, so you can probably rule that one out

 

I have a squeek too though it's near my muffler area and it is the exhaust hangers, make sure you single out where that squeek is coming from, Mine at first seemed like it was coming from the fron of the car. Also if you have a downpipe, make sure it's bolted in tight, that could be another thing.

I have the same problem. Actually, I have two squeaks. One is has something to do with my clutch. Take a look where your clutch cable goes into your transmission. Make sure your car is on and fiddle around with that to see if you can "alter" the squeak. Subie told me this was the throw out bearing, they fixed it temporarily but now its back. My other squeak comes from my intake. My intake actually rubs on one my intake manifold so every time I go over a bump it squeaks. Hope that helps...

could be just squeaky suspension. all noises are not easily pin pointed.

 

i have a squeak coming from my exhaust... when i let off the gas and the rpms are coming down it squeaks once or twice before the engine hits idle speeds...

 

check the pipes and see if anything is rubbing, otherwise lube up the hangers.
