silencer

i was told that if i remove the silencer on my 2002 wrx then i could really hear the turbo and bov... is this true? if so, does anyone know where i can find it and how to remove it. thanx for the help.

I did it and it was easy

I just did this to my car. When I took it for a test drive to see if it made any difference I could really hear the turbo and the BOV. Couldn't really tell if the turbo spools up any faster, but it sounds cool. The link in the previous post tells you everything you need to know. The hardest part is pulling the thing out of the wheel well. Just jack it up and turn the wheel to give yourself more room.
