Doesn't explain much to be honest. I don't mean to be an *** or anything, I value that site a lot! I pretty much started with zero car knowledge and thanks to scoobymods, and various other sites, that knowledge has grown tremendously.
All I'm trying to say is - here's a great opportunity just falling into his lap, as it were, to keep the site running for free. No need for donations, no need for money out of his own pocket. Granted, I have no idea what kind of deal Imprezer has in mind, but its at least worth a look.
I hate to see a resource like this go to subscription model, and I'm sure there are many others that feel the same.
Who am I in the end though? Its entirely Kastle's decision of course; just trying to shed another view on this whole thing.

No I think it's this:
However, you really have to ask him directly. As I've said I'm just the guy that tries to help people by posting the mods. I would just like to continue to do so is all. This may be selfish but I do like the fact that I can post a mod and give my unbiased opinion about something. Not once has Kastle seen a post of mine and asked me to change it. Not that Alex would do that but you get my drift. I kind of like the fact that ScoobyMods isn't owned by anyone and I have cart Blanche to post my mod info. Or not post it for that matter. I've been having a reoccurring nightmare that some rich altezza lens manufacturer that also makes turbo timers and BOV's makes an offer Kastle can't refuse. I wake up in a cold sweat...
Why not 3rd party hose the site?
I've already built up a very complex setup including dual webservers, hardware load balancing, dedicated SQL server. ETC... Bandwidth and servers are not a problem, I've upgraded future thinking.
