i want the run down on what you guys think about both cars, i know the answers will be biass but i am still curious. i want to know where you think these cars stand in questions of Handling, potiental, and ease of everyday driving and conditions. i want something that i can have fun with without worrying about something breaking. autoX events road racing, and sometimes be nice to drag///

240's are great track cars, but RS's kick bootay at autocross.
The 240 has an issue with rain though The RS is definatly more of a daily driver practical type car yet still has simular power and capability, and both cars have great engines that you can swap in later if you want
So, Its pretty close... just a matter if you want RWD or AWD IMHO.

Well you can go with turbo kits for the 2.5l... I think the ludespeed kit does 268hp to the wheels and is like $4000... You can swap in WRX engines for a few thousand, or even JDM STI or WRX engines which seem to be going for cheap right now. Or you can wait for new STI engines or Turbo Forester engines to be floating around after those come out (probably much more expensive)
Check the aftermarket turbo forums on here and over on nasioc.com

240 SX is a nasty RWD car, swap an SR20-DET into that ***** and it'll be a monster, especially if you like to pull crazy drifts, and you can! but the RS i agree is better all around, the driving isn't affected in rain or light snow/ sand.......that's the beauty of Subaru All Wheel Drive!
