Remote start help!!
Hey guys, i'm installing a Viper 5900 remote start alarm system. Everything is working great, but one thing...
When I press the remote start button on the remote, the car cranks but it won't start. I don't know what the problem is. I re-checked all the wires and everything, but I just don't know what it is.
If anyone is familiar with this please help, any help is appreciated. Thanks. I'll be checking on my laptop frequently, i'm working on the alarm right now.
Thanks guys.

what year is your car? sti?
as far as i know, non sti's dont have chipped key, sti's do.
did you install key bypass or the cheap way, put your extra key in the steering column, close to the key cylinder as possible, i cut my key part out and just left the chip part, other people have taken the whole key apart and just put the chip (maybe 5mmx5mm).
if not, make sure your tach is programmed and is on the correct tach wire which can be tested with a multimeter, put it on AC and as the rev climes, the voltage will clime too.
or you can put your alarm into voltage sense mode or crank time instead of tach to make it easier.
hope it works out for you.
