Proud new owner of an '06 STi!!!
WOW what an unbelievable car the STi is! I previously owned a 2001 Audi S4 that I modified to a great extent and still didnt EVEN feel like this STi bone stock! It took me since last October when I sold the S4 to fully understand why this was the car that so many said didnt have to be modded. They were correct. It has so much- from the power to the handling to the looks that make any drive complete FUN! These next thousand miles are going to be difficult but worth every moment once the motor has been properly broken in.
I got the WRB/Gld from Mastro today and they are over the top with my experience with them so far. I've never had a dealership work with me so professional and dedicated as David at Mastro did. My good freind John(Sierra3) recently bought an '06 WRB/GLD last month as well and coming from a 480+hp Lightning was floored ny thr STi performance. I too share his same enthusiasm as even during break in this car is completely amazing bone stock! My S4 had 320hp & 366 lb tq and still this 300hp/tq STi feels like its a race ready anywhere it goes. I am so glad I acquired the new look of the '06 since I loved the new look from the first moment I saw the pictures from Japan. Look forward to meeting you guys at some local meets!

Not long I bet, ^^^, as soon as he finds the hp/tq numbers on cobb stage 2 w/tbe, congratulations on your new ride.
BTW, check out the thread in the Car Lounge, "Nissan Skylines", some guy (mw1209 or something like that) seems to think that s4's are better cars than skylines, just an interesting point on your previous ownership of an S4.

Thanks!
I love the car way more than I ever thought so far and after break in I wanna really its full potential. Its true- maybe at least a ECU & downpipe will be in order but I am really going to try and restrain until at least January before any mods take effect. Once I feel any weak points then I'll modify accordingly.
Interesting about the skyline/S4 comparo?? Two very different cars but I have never driven a Skyline so its hard for me to comment on any pros or cons. I loved my S4 on and off the track and would reccomend one to anyone! The link below has some pics the day I acquired it this past Monday:

Re: Nice E30
Thanks- the '88 E30 M3 is my favorite car of all time and still to this day I feel like a DTM driver when I apex the curves on my local highways! I guess I'm just a sucker for homogulated(sp?) cars with wide fenders and fixed rear wings
