Possible WRX problems

My 03 WRX has been running great for about 14,000 miles now. But just today I noticed that it has been very sluggish near 4500rpm and up. Could that be due to faulty spark plugs? Do I need a tune up? It is sluggish in all gears. It just started happening and I do see any signs that anything else could be the problem. Could this be a sign that my turbo is not working? any info would be great.

Sounds like you might need to do the grounding mod.

the problem went away a few hours later, i had just washed the car and then all of a sudden...no power. i drove it later on that day and my power was all back. maybe it didnt like being clean or something

...grounding mod? grounding to 4 or 5 places on the car? i would assume (since I am a professional mobile audio installer and have a AA in electrical engineering), that grounding the battery should be done with a 4 gauge or smaller wire from the battery to the chassis of the car.
