plugs and wires
I drive a 98 RS. Recently i bought 4 bosch platinum fours(these are the ones with 4 points and come pre-gapped) and i was wondering if anyone has any info on these things? as far as the guys at autozone are concerned you can "feel the difference". Well are there any negatives about having 4 points on the plug or anything?
and does anyone have any sugggestions about wires? as far as the reading i have done, magnecore seems to be the best....i run a 1000wat stereo and i want some performance out of my new plugs and wires. any info would be great thanks =)

Ah another 98RS
What you got are good but only if you are planning on using them for a long time. Platinum plugs aren't the best conductor, but they are very durable. Therefore, the copper ones are always better but need to be changed every 1-2 yrs, depending on how you drive. As far as the "feel the difference" thing that Autozone told you, it only applies if your current ones are bad to start with (e.g. poor idling). Finally, my personal opinion is that NGK is always great for Japanese cars; that's why they gave your NGK platinum to start with.
As far as the plug wires, magnecores are good brand, but you do know that the 98 is pretty special right? You probably have to get the right one, b/c ours are the DOHC, unlike the 99-01RS that are SOHC.
Good luck

Platinum plugs are use by the car companies as a set it and forget it kind of plug due to their long life. They are not a good plug for performance. Its cheaper for them to put in a plug that will "last" the duration to the warranty.
As for wires unless you have the engine mods to warrant expensive wires, stockers are fine, but expensive. Magnacore is a good choice also if money allows.
