I know it doesn't matter to any of you but this is how i would have changed things from the original I-club.
1)Change the color scheme to something more "masculine"
2)add more emotions like  and a few others
3)Make 100X100 avatars and titles mandatory at 100 posts (even 500 posts)
4) Turn off the swear filter (or give us the option to turn it off)
Other than that i would have kept it the same.

I like the new format. It'll take a bit of getting used to, but I like it so far. I just have one question - are scoobysnacks gone for good?
And Salty was right - at least we still have the bananas!!!

While resistance to change is a normal human function, I am especially finding this new layout very hard to swallow.
1) The fonts are too small
2) Unnecessary graphics which are distracting (the boxes surrounding each post)
3) Color scheme hurts my eyes
4) Choppy scroll function
5) The content of the messages is getting lost with everything else that is on the screen
My brain may just need time to adjust to some of these things, but overall I'm finding the layout distracting.
There are, of course, some nice additions:
1) Click on a person's name in the thread to bring up several options
2) More advanced search function
3) Email notifications of subscribed threads include the text of the last reply
4) I'm sure there's more I haven't found yet.
I would also assume the more popular functions such as quick reply and buddy list will be retunring in time. edit: it appears the buddy list is on the quick links and you can pm from it.
In terms of bugs, I have not seen anything yet.

Thanks Mr. Egan. I'm sure that Alex will find that helpful. This brings up a good point - that constructive criticism as well as letting Alex know what you do like about the new layout is a good thing. I wouldn't want to get used to the new stuff then have it disappear after a few days.

So what can we expect with these changes, Alex? In regard to our profile and what not?

i agree with egan in that it is tough to flow through the posts... my eyes are diverted to the users name, etc, rather than their post. i like it when user info is at bttom IMO
monkey and dancing banana are cool

I don't have an avatar bu I'd like to see them bigger anyways.
I think i-club looks more like some other forums now and I don't know how I feel about that yet.
But I do think that the change will be good after we all get used to it.
And I was just getting my snacks built up
