Pissed off!!!
Well today was the day i got to pick up my new wrx, and once again it has to snow...gotta love new england. so ride home is fine, had the car for about 3 hours, im pulling into my driveway, and i couldnt stop, i kept on going, nothing i could do...BAM, right into the my dads plow. im sitting in my car fearing the worst, back up the car, get out, and see that there is yellow paint on the left headlight, and some on the bumper, 2 little spots that need touch up paint, and the lens on the headlight now has some scratches on it. now i gotta saw i am lucky, if i hit the plow any other way i coulda scraped the whole left side of my car, or the point of the plow woulda gouged out the left headlight. needless to say im soo Fing pissed that i dont know what to do with myself at the moment. i love this car and in freaking 3 hours i hit something, i never have hit anything before, and the 3 hours brand new car, and i cant stop and hit the damn plow, damn im so angry, well nothing i can do until it stops snowing, i needed to vent...

sorry to hear it
Before you try to paint your car with touch up paint, try using a very fine rubbing compound like 3M perfect it. Read story below.
Something similar happened to me. I didnt just get my car buti was watching football in the fall and my team lost. I was pulling out of the garage and my neighbor has a pool with railroad ties behind and ive backed out a ton of times before. I just pulled too far back and off the little bit of grass and then a bump. I was so pissed i got out and saw a big scrapes in the bumper. they were
real dark scrapes. I immediately got the rubbing compound out and started buffing. Low and behold almost everything came out except for a few small real small nicks. I got touchup paint and the blot remover langka to take most of teh nasty excess paint off the car and a little clear coat. if u look for it u will see it but most wont notice. Considering i thought i really ****up my car to only get away with that little bit i consider my self lucky. If you touch up your car try langka to remove the excess paint. I feel bad for you and know what uare going through but you will luv the car once the conditions are dry. Congrats
ps where in new england u live? I live in connecticut so i know the kind of winters we get

so im not too far from you. but ya it def sucks, tomorrow if the weather is better a lil wax should help the minor scratches and such, ill try that paint remover stuff because the paint thats on the headlight is a ***** to get offa dn its all scratched. the good thing is the headlight is just a plastic cover which should be easily replaced, ill find out when i go to my dealer for my oil change. but ya i def feel lucky cause one direction either way and i woulda hit the edge of the plow, i woulda cried if i really screwed up my car lol.

sun, sorry to hear about the car, i'd be pretty pissed too. hopefully you can use some of that stuff and compound and get most of the paint off, good luck man!... on another note, hey chris. you don't happen to know anyone at the Subie dealership up there who might be a little more lenient on the price of a car do you? they've got a beautiful '00 BRP RS up there (im in North Haven) with 42k miles, they're asking $15k for it though. i test drove it about a month ago (love it) and i just checked, its still on the lot. i'd love to get my hands on it, but the price is a little high (and my bank account is a little low). any ideas? im not asking for a gift, just curious... i need to get out of my '89 Summit (165k on her) heh...

Hey steve
My feeling with the 04 wrxs coming out and the STi coming out that the dealer should work the price of 00 rs. I paid 24000 for my rex with wing and 4eat. I know guys who bought the02 rs because they could nt afford the wrx and paid int he 20-21000 range. I think if they want to move it they will budge the price. What does kelly blue book say for an idea of bookvalue. I almost had a hard time financeing the rex. I had them play with the interst rate, lengthof loan, and amount to give on trade in. Those numbers are variable. If they want to make a sale they will. They know how much they got it on a trade in so they wont lose that much. Hope this helps and see u ata ameet in connnecticut some time

well unfortunately, i don't have a trade-in (they'd give me about $50 for my car). the KBB was about $15k if i remember correctly, but that price, according to KBB is the price at which you might find the car going for at a dealership, the price that the dealership would start from. of course the price is neg. but i need it around 12K, MAYBE i could do 13 though.... the Edmunds value, which is "what other people are paying" was around $12,600 - $13k i think, depending on condition. also, i ran a carfax on it and the dealership got it from an auction, so hopefully they got a good deal on it and can pass on the savings to me. they've had it on the lot for close to a couple months (that i know of) and each passing day they have to pay the bank to keep it there. plus like you said, with the '04s comming out im sure they'll probably want the space. im going to give them a call tomorrow morning and see if maybe i can't work something out.. thanks for the info though. im gonna try and make it up to the meet on the 22nd (subie or no subie), but if not, im sure i'll cya around anyways, take care...

That sucks dude, I know how you feel. First week a rock cracks my winsheild. The second week I had my car some *** hit it in a parking lot. Every panel on the left side had to be fixed and painted, and it needed a new rocker panel. A few weeks later I was driving down the highway (85mph) and got broad sided by a deer, this also damaged every panel on my right side. The insurance company wouldn't cover my rear quarter, so every thing is fixed but that. Some times lifes a *****.
