Hey what's up everyone... quick question. I have a 2010 wrx and I'm looking to chip it, but I am a noob to this kinda stuff. Any suggestions on which one I should get without breaking the bank. Thanks all!

Go either access port or tactrix if you got someone who knows how to tune through tactrix but if not the Cobb ap is amazing cuz you can get a pro tune put on it and still have all the power to datalog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

like others have said: you'll want a Cobb accessport. That is about 600 dollars. It will come with several OVER THE SHELF (OTS) tunes that you can use. If you want more benefit, get a customized tune for your car (another 400-500 dollars).
The Cobb is the easiest route so far. search around end edumacate. there's lots of topics of how to tune your car. also look up possible consequences as well, like blown ringlands.
dont bother chipping, that stuff's *SNAKE OIL*

I haven't heard the term in a long time either. Even back in the 90s it was already sort of an outdated term. Even though we called it "chip" as well, it really meant a flashed ECU and you possibly even sent your stock one back to tuner who was reprogramming them. I had a Dinan ECU in my GSR back in the day.
