Oil Time

Hi all, im sitting upon 13,200 miles in my wrx, and the last time i changed the oil was at 7541 when i went synthetic.......i noticed the next recommended change for oil in the manual says 15,000.....should i go ahead and change it? or should i wait for 15000?

Oil change

I'd go ahead and change it. I personally change mine every 3000 even though I run synthetic. I certainly wouldnt go over 7500 for any reason no matter what oil I used.

If you're looking for a high mileage oil, you might want to take a look at Amsoil. I hear they can go 10 or 15,000 w/o an oil change. I think its a little unbelievable, but theres people on the 4x4parts.com message board that use it and swear by it.

I use Amsoil in my bikes, But I still change it every 1500 miles. I use full synthetic im my WRX and change that every 3k. Not worth the risk of not doing it.
