Official eBay/craigslist Find Thread

I found this type of thread to be very useful on other car forums. It's simple, if you find something Impreza related for sale on eBay or craigslist and think other members would be interested in it, you post a link and a description (pic optional).

This is not for advertising the cheap headlights, intakes and other parts that make up 90% of the listings on eBay. Nor is it for asking "how will this spoiler look on my car?"

It is for when you find that rare, cool or otherwise relatively unique part that others are looking for or didn't know existed. This type of thread is very useful for both the collector and the guy who is just trying to find a replacement part.

Post away.

Thanks man, currently my work schedule allows me to do this b/c I'm working mornings. In December I go back to swing shift. I'll still do this but most likely in the evenings. I found some great stuff for myself on CL. That's how I got most of my mods that I currently have, I got my Perrin catted dp w/ the a Tanabe Touring exhaust for 500, and my heat wrapped Perrin Up-pipe and heat wrapped Perrin headers for 200. Crazy right!?!?! I think it's pretty insane the stuff you can find on CL if you're patient enough.

oh i know i used to do the same type of thing with bikes back in high school, i made lots of money off that. i love actually using CL myself, i go on whenever i am bored and just find some amazing deals that always make me want to buy, haha.

This car would be a candidate for a project or someone that enjoys fixing up cars. I will buy a new car in the next month and will trade this in if no buyers are interested.

This car has not been modified, it is stock everything. It is rally blue and 5 speed manual. 116k miles. The only upgrade is the subaru sound/security package.

I'm the originally owner, and I've taken it to regular maintenance throughout the years (I have the receipts to almost every oil change and all the major 30/60/90k maintenance items, I've only had them done at subaru dealers). The car has been rock solid until this major problem.

I took the car in to the dealership because the check engine light came on. Ironically, I got the oil changed that day. The engine has a major issue and needs to be taken apart to repair it. Piston #2 does not have any power coming from it. I have the dealer diagnostic report and am willing to share it along with all documentation I have. Technically, the car can be driven in the current state, but it is not advisable. I had the car towed home from the dealer and haven't driven it since.

In addition to the major engine issue, the windshield has a crack, the tires need to be replaced, and the hood scoop has chipped paint.

I'd be glad to answer any/all questions about the car.
