Why do people say that the bug-eyes model looks Japanese? The round, prominent headlights are clearly a reference to Mercedes and Porsche. I've had friends and co-workers compare my 02 to a Neon, various Mercedes models, Porsche 911s and 928s and the VW bug -- but never to another Japanese car.

Not going to lie to you. its ugly. the headlights, the rear end, the hood, all thats fine, but the grill, is ugly. i mean, PT Cruiser ugly... but hey, bet it keeps the engine compartment nice and breezy.

to me, it looks like an evil blue pig...first impression...hated it...but now that i've been looking at it for a couple of days, it's not as bad...just like the evo 8 and it's wierd grill. hated it when it came out but have grown to accept it. The STi still looks pretty hot. wouldn't mind rocking that...but the RS versions have deffinately lost all it's agressiveness. all said and done...i'm happy to pick up my 04!

Looking closer at the top, i noticed a small spolier at the top. Could this be like the EVO MR's "Vortex Genoraters" (however you spell it, i dun care, im tired) or is it just for show?
