newbie here on the boards and saying hi
just wanted to drop in and say hi.
i currently have a nissan 2003 350z, but my occupation (and a future family) puts me in a predicament on getting a four door sports car. i test drove both the evo 8 and sti. i like the styling of the sti better and the 6-speed is a must since i am used to driving the 6-speed in the 350z. i love my 350z, but the sti will be a great car to own too!!!!!!!!!!
i will be looking into a white sti coming this april!!!!
is $29,999 a good price for an sti?
i've heard of people getting them for 28,500. what do you think is a fair market price for a new sti
looking forward to putting that front limited sti front spoiler and 18" wheels too!!!!!!!!
hope to talk to you guys'gals soon!!!!!!
happy motoring,
john
oh yeah, here are a few pix of my 2003 350z for sale.

that's a dope car....too bad you can't do both. Would love to put that thing into a long left.
Welcome...come pay the BAIC forum a visit and check out sac too. I'd advise going to a couple of meets...even before getting the car. Helped me decide what car I wanted for sure. I was going back and forth between A4 and WRX until I cam to a meet and talked to some folks.

Yeah, totally. Come to a sac meet. We meet every Saturday at 6pm, the corner of Truxel and Natomas Crossing.

We talk a lot of crap in the thread, but the first post is all you need to read to know about what we do

man, thanx for the warm welcome guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
imprezer, brucelee, international b, wrx10404, esracer, danyocantdrift, onemanarmy, and nkoan - nice to meet you all.
imprezer - mods i have done are mostly for handling and looks.
nismo cf body kit, 19"volk racing te-37s 9.5 front 10.5 rears, jic flt-a2 coilovers, jic rear camber kit, recaro spg seats, greddy strut bar, etc.
was gonna put a greddy turbo, but looking at a sti.
i went to the mitsu dealer today and almost picked up an evo.
can you guys tell me why i should get the sti instead of the evo!!!!! i'm a newbie here and did a search, but didn't get much.
anyways, nkoan - yeah, i'll be sure to see ya guys soon (maybe this saturday!!!!!!!)
esracer - not really a convert to subaru, but a car enthusiast. i love all cars, and i respect all cars for what they are made for. all cars have positives and negatives and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
i need a 4 door sports car and the sti and evo8 are the two that came to mind. i'm leaning toward the sti!!!!!!!!
please - reasons o get the sti instead of evo.
thanx,
john

great choice on the STI (white especially) I would have a hard time selling that 350Z if I were you. Nice to know that you can always upgrade to an STI when the family gets bigger...I could only get a wrx (STI was a little out of my price range) but some day the pink badges will be mine!
white STI, carbon hood, carbon front lip, 18" bronze Volks, coilovers...I'm dreaming, sorry!
reasons to get STI instead of EVO:
looks, interior and exterior
performance
sound of the boxer motor cant be beat
other than that, they're really tight competitors all around but I'm a little bias when it comes to Subies!

Reason for sti over evo.
Both awesome cars.
But I trust subaru engineering way more and I prefer the styling.
Plus I like the crowd more.....the people driving them and participating in the subaru family...just a very cool environment.
if it was my money it'd be an sti but that's just my preference there. Can't really give you concrete reasons.
