my cat. converter just went out.
What should I do?
I heard that theses are really expensive. My check engine light will not go off because of the cat, and my exhaust smells like eggs.
Are there after market high flows, help me out.
its a 00 2.5 rs 2 door.

The rotten-egg smell is actually the cat(s) working overtime and producing high amounts of hydrogen sulfide due to either a rich condition or high sulfur fuel. Have you had the code read and is it a P0420/catalyst efficiency code? You may have other problems instead of or in addition to a bad cat. Have it checked out by a competent shop before blindly spending any money.
Also, even if the cat is bad you may not have to pay to have it replaced. Your basic warranty may be expired but there is an additional, longer term warranty that covers emission system components. Check your owners manual package for information on this, there is a separate pamphlet that describes the emission warranty.

correction 8 years 80,000 miles.
There are three specified major emission control components, covered for the first 8 years or 80,000 miles of vehicle use on 1995 and newer vehicles:
Catalytic converters.
The electronic emissions control unit or computer (ECU).
The onboard emissions diagnostic device or computer (OBD).
