my butt dino must be broken!!

Ok I am doing something wrong here... I have to be...
here is the story I bought my 2000 2.5rs impreza about 2 years ago..
as soon as I got it i did the obligitory cai and strutt tower brace...
well sence then i have added the fallowing.
borla header
stromung track pipe
wrx exhaust (no resonator)
dual glass pack muffler
port matched the intake manafold and heads
blended and polished the tb
underdrive pully
I also did suspension work but thats not the issue here... the issue is I put in X many dollers and expect the next upgrade to fix the ristriction issue that has been holding back my car...
Now that I have a free flowing intake
and 2.25 pipe going all the way back I am wondering when do i get the pay off?
The only improvements I have noticed is in sound and the power band seems to smooth out a bit each time.
I admit I havent reset my computer sence putting on the last componet (track pipe) and I am not too sure how to reset it except dissconnecting the battery for a fiew hours...

grrr.....

I guess the point of my rant here is these question.
what do i need to do to start feeling some pay off? Is it programming? should i get some type of enging manigment device and take it down to get it dino tuned? Sould I bump up the injectors and fule rails? Or should i stop dinking around and trow a big chunk of money at stiffer valve springs, valves, retainers, and cams? or is the only real improvement im going to see is when i finaly get my hands on a turbo kit?

I am used to modding v8 cars mostly gm f-bodys... I remember throwing headers and an intake on my 98 firbird and being blown away by the improvement it made.. and right now to be totaly honest I am sick and tired of throwing money at this car and noticing nothing other than the smoother powerband!!

Most normally aspirated cars you need to dump a ton of money into it before you will gain any performance increase...

thats whats so frustrating about this ^^^
all of the naturally asprated cars i have ever owned just the little proformance mods helped out tons!!!
my old v6 cutless... I changed the carb and that made a world of diffrence.
the dodge caravan I cutt off my exhaust and ran cat, thrush muffler and side dumps and it turned the car into a beast....
I have tones of expearences like that but so far no matter what i do to this car... NOTHING... logic dictates that there are restrictions in a car and you can only make as much horse power as your most restrictive part and it is so hard to believe that the most restrictive part is my displacement... I'm so ready to cave and start putting the pennies together for the turbo.... eather that or focus my energy on my charger.
