Mods and resale value
What kind of impact would a Stage 1 Vishnu kit for the STi have on the selling price? Obviously anyone who would be looking to buy an STi would be doing so for the performance, so I would think that some extra safe, reliable (so Visnu says) horsepower would make the car more desireable and therefore increase the sale price a bit. What do you guys think?

I'd say the only mods that can significantly increase or at least not hurt the value of your car would be a very nice set of wheels and tires and dress-up mods for the interior (nice seats, etc.) But you won't ever get the actual cash value of the mods back "out" of the car again when it is sold... just like the $10,000 you spend on upgrading the bathroom in your house might only add $2,000 to the final sale price.

adding mods usually gets the buyer thinking "he's a racer". It's a thought on the back of my mind when I see them too. The only "added value" you'd get on the STi stuff like a sound system.
Selling the mods are also a pain in the ***.
