As said before they are not designed for street use, and are VERY loud and will attract the attention of the 5-0 in a hurry.

However, if properly setup installed and tuned, with all necessary parts, and a good BB turbo, it is possible to have on a street car.

Most times the anti-lag system can be bypassed by changing ECU maps.

Possible : Yes... very, but $$$.

Advisable : Umm no... you just watch too much Initial D.

Yeah, anti-lag is most CERTAINLY NOT legal for street use. It violates SEVERAL motor laws, most notably noise regulations and emmisions laws. Not to mention your going to be shooting considerably large fireballs of unburnt fuel out of your dump pipe.

So don't some cars shoot fireballs stock, at least little ones? I've heard that FD RX-7s do this to a certain extent. Can the cops pull you over for that?

Also, does the creation of a fireball simply by running catless make the same "BANG" as a real ALS?
Not that I'm aware of...at least not in the US. Some JDM or EDM specs maybe. And running catless does not produce the same sound as A-L.

And you can turn it on and off in some instances, but only while the car is stationary, and not running. When switched off, the cars performance is usually less than stellar.
