Locating used WRX

Check your local dealers for stuff like lease returns. You can also look in Auto Trader, either the magazine version or the on line version. Some have been posted on ebay too. As far as prices use either www.edmunds.com or www.kbb.com they both will give you an idea of what to expect to pay for a car in your area. You can also check this forum and NASIOC too.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. I've been looking for a used WRX for a while. Seems like everyone is selling his/her for around 19k-22k, which is about the KBB price. But the edmunds.com estimates the price way much lower than that. Isn't this strange?!?
Any idea?

I'm looking for one too, I use www.autotrader.com. I'm seeing some good low mileage WRX's from like 17,500 to around 21,000. But most of them are in the 18,000 to $19,500 range, so that's not bad at all.
I know for one thing, I would not spend 21,000 for a '02 right off the lot unless it was still BRAND new...that's pretty much a rip-off. I'm sure they can negotiate a deal to bring it closer to the Edmunds SRP.

KBB was at one time the industry standard for figuring vehicle prices. I was still tend to go towards their estimates. Another option to check is NADA. They do a lot of vehciles that KBB or Edmunds do not even carry in their books. $21,000 for a used WRX seesm high, especially since 2003's have special finance rates going and some dealers still have 2002's on their lots. With the special rates going consider a new WRX too. Figure what it is going to cost you to finace a used WRX with probably high interest rates compared to a new WRX with a lower interest rate. Both might be comparable to each other payment wise.

Strangely enough, NADA guide doesn't have a price for the WRX.
So the seller will stick with KBB while the buyer wants to go with Edmunds...
What is a decent price for a new 2002 WRX wagon? I might consider getting it if it's considerably cheaper than the 2003 model. Theoretically, it should be cheaper, but I believe the dealers always want to surprise their customers.
Can't wait to get one now..
