So I finally get my car, but it's in New Jersey. Now it's time to pick it up. I work weekends and the only time I can get my sister or wife to go with me is on the weekends. Now these two have devised a plan to go pick up my car next weekend and I may not get to go! My freakin' car and I may not be the first to drive it! Ugh! I consider myself lucky that I have two people who are willing to drive 1000 miles and deliver my car to me, but I wanted to pick it up, damn it!

 

LOL! It's not in Newark or anything, so I don't worry about theft. I'm actually more worried about it once it gets back to Antioch! It's sitting at the dealer until this afternoon when my dad is going to pick it up. Then it goes from my dad's house and into my waiting arms. Man, that drive sucks...

 

A plane ticket would be great, but I just spent a ton of money on my wedding and honeymoon and a plane ticket just isn't in the cards. Anybody want to donate?

Good point. However, Greyhound takes FOREVER to get there and the most I can get off work in a row is three days. It would take almost two to get there!

 

Just take a radar detector w/ you. 1000 miles coming back should take you 25% of the time hehe. I'm not condoning speeding since you'll be breaking your car in, but you just don't want to get caught in a speed trap b/c you get extra looks.

The first week i had my WRX I had a friggin cop follow me for 15 blocks! Not only did a minivan zoom by me and he not follow, he practically escorted me to my front door!
