I think it could be a feesible idea. A handy place to get good quality JDM parts, hopefuly at low prices. I'd buy from it.

japanparts.com is where a lot of people get there JDM goodies direct from Japan from. If you can do better than their prices, I'm sure you'd get some of their business. They already have a good reputation, so there will always be those who will pay slightly more for a "sure thing".

There are also many on the boards who would love JDM gear but just flat out can't afford or don't want to go through the hassle of importing it themselves. Offer good prices, reasonable shipping and good / responsive customer service and you'll do fine.

Just my 2-cents...

yoroshiku! www.takakaira.com is another JDM importer that could be potential competition. Like Japan Parts, they have a good reputation as well.
mochiron JDM parts hoshi! I say go for it and don't be worried if the part or company that you want to stock is rare or obsure here in the States. Just be reliable and keep your prices lower than Japan Parts and Taka Kaira and you WILL have steady business. ganbare!

Domo arigato Mr. Roboto

And yes there is a demand I'd say but as JspecGC8 said the demand may not be big enough to offset the cost of the investment unless you are able to some how corner a piece of the market.
