imprezas really are going to be the civic of this decade
the latest issue of sport compact car just arrived and theres an article on some guy that converted his wrx to rear wheel drive for drifting. i dont think i like the potential outcome of this article and the ej20 into a gc article.

I think the idea of doing that is a great idea. Drifting is awesome! That's the one drawback of having an AWD car, you do get that grip that is much needed and wanted, but with all that grip you can't drift that well. So I think the conversion was really cool. They didn't say, but I think it would be even better if you could have a switch to switch from AWD to RWD whenever you wanted to. Sort of like the Nissan Skyline's advanced AWD system.

And there is no way that the Imprezza is going to be the civic of this decade. People still want their civics, and there are less imprezza owners than civic owners. Another thing there is a totally different attitude of tunning a civic and tunning a imprezza. No chance that a Imprezza will ever be considered a "civic"

Wish the DCCD in the STi could go to 100% rear on the toggle. Think a RWD subie would rock. But the one in the mag broke his rear driveshaft when he attempted to do a burn out.

RWD has its own merits, as does AWD. Anyone with 2 bits of car know-how easily realizes this.
On the other hand, it'd be ricey if they made it FWD
And if the slapped on a shopping cart handle wing on the rear

I don't get why someone would switch a wrx to rwd anyhow...I mean subies are known for their awd prowess, why would anyone want to change that? Even if your doing it for drifting...why not just go buy an s13 or somethin?.....Though that dccd mod idea for the sti would be pretty hawght.
