The choices were U.S. or J-spec car. Prodrive builds the WRC cars in England from the base model STi. It's not a production model.

Yes, but we're talking about 'X spec' cars. The USDM STi are not produced in US, but it is US spec. Meaning built to specifications for driving in the US.

I argue the same for the WRC Rally Japan's WRC car :banana:
