If Mapquest claims 32 hrs driving, what can I shave off?

If I average 80mph, I think around 26 hr (each way)
Or get my mas loco friend to pilot. Up that average to 95mph, bring it down to about 23 hr.

hopefully you'll have a lot of long hills that you can just coast, but then again it evens out going up them !

my brother and I did LA to Miami in 42 hrs.
Thats no sleep, stopping to eat and get gas, and a 4-hr stop in houston for a baseball game.

Drove from Jackson Mississippi straight through to San Jose took 36 hours. That was switching off with someone else. It's about 3 hours to New Orleans from Jackson. We were hauling *** through Texas, 90 to 100 the whole way, it was late at night. Any way, 32 hours is about right, you might be able to shave a little off but not much. We were wasted when we got back. Slept for a day.

Not sure about mapquest, but AAA uses 50mph for those calculations. Traveling with a family that's about right. But a guy with some experience, and a big bladder, and a little luck, and maybe a radar detector and/or the wisdom to watch for trucks with antennas changing speed, etc. Can average 10-15 over the limit easy. I don't go for records anymore (guess I'm too old) but I did once drive from Fort Worth to Clear Lake in 3.5 hours. In a 64 Rambler Classic and stopped to change a flat! Only spotted 2 troopers and luckily they were on the other side. God made up for it on the return trip though - almost 8 hours - worst thunderstorm 3V4R! Weather is the other unknown.

Yeah Boston does have some killer clam chowders. How far is that....150miles?
BTW there is a killer Italian restaurant in the North End of Boston, just up the street from Mike's Pastry. Go there next time you're in Beantown.
