I cant make up my mind!
After attending the D-1 driftfest qual's on sunday at Irwindale, Advin sparked me to take a closer look at the All-New Evo. I did, and now I want one. I am fixing to take my '02 WRX w/ a clean 300 hp down to trade in for an EVO.
Please tell me that I am stupid, or either way, just hollar at me!!
One way or another, I want something new! If not a car, I need new shoes.
Should I get one??

Good to hear some feedback. I also heard from some Subaru technicians that the EVO kills the STI, especially the steering column. I guess I should wait, but then again, I will wait forever for an STI.
Please advise,
What should I do??

You are out of luck, I went down to look at the evo in person, NO WAY! 270HP, My WRX can already smoke that. I will probably keep my wrx and buy a rear-wheel drive drift car instead! R30?
Thanks All!

I don't see a WRX being reliable and faster then an Evo without spending more money then the $5K price difference. Hell a good 6spd M/T swap alone will run you that amount. However there have been some problems mentioned by some Evo owners. Like blown headgaskets and leaking transmissions.

I have heard that abou the evo too, but all in all, the evo is super ugly if we want to compare the aesthetics here.
As far as the performance, have not driven either one yet. However, I have spent over $10 on my engine getting it above 300, so I know I will sit well with a sti. I wish that I could have just started with the 300 and added on!
