hyperflow intercoolers (turboxs front mount)
Well. i am just going to post this up to show the type of company that hyperflow is. and i will post up some pictures of the piping later. the new piping only fixes one issue and you still retain teh crappy hoses. so here goes. OH and i have gotten nothing or will ever get anything from them.
EDIT : There were more pix but i lost them since its been forever now.

Hello Dizzle,
This is Kevin from Hyperflow..manufacturer of the FMIC you have in your WRX....
I have been following the "Perrin Vs TXS FMIC" post and read some of the problems you have had...
It seems that you had a problem with the silicon hose that leads through the inner guard area on the passenger side of your car...
Yes, you are right...some type of protection for the hose should have been supplied with kit..but on the other hand the if the aluminium tube was manufactured correctly it would see the silicon hose suspended through the hole and not touch anything...maybe we have a problem with the aluminium tube "pulling" when it cools down after it has been welded and removed from the jig...
We would be happy to send you at no charge a new silicon hose to replace the one that has the cuts in it.....
If you can email me your name and delivery address I will Fedex a new hose to you first thing on Monday.....and email you the tracking number
As for the windshied water bottle...not sure..(the kit doesnt come with a replacement) but the aluminium tube should not touch it or your battery terminal....do you have the mounting bracket for this pipe the right way around.....it sounds as if the whole pipe is too far towards the drivers side...flipping the L shaped mounting bracket might solve the rubbing problems you have....
Hopefully my offer to fix these problems will keep any pics off NASIOC
email kevin@hyperflow.com.au
Best Regards, Kevin

Hey Ken. I didnt want to put these pictures up to hurt your company in any way. I just wanted to show what problems i had. What i will do though is i will take some detailed pictures for you of what i seem to have as problems with the piping. ive even had ron at axis power racing give me quotes on making new piping for me for the intercooler because i really couldnt understand why the fitment was the way it is. So i will PM and e-mail you pictures later on tonight of what i am talking about. and we will see what we should do from there. Sound good?

Great, thankyou...please email me the pics when you can....
If you would like to wait a little longer we are going to redesign the aluminium throttle body intercooler pipe and have it go all the way through the inner guard and connect up to a shorter silicon hose..I can send you the replacement pipe instead if you wish..this will be about 3-4 weeks away
Let me know what you think
Regards, Kevin

Ok...I can see the pics now..
On your drivers side we can supply our redesigned parts as soon as they are ready...approx. 2-3 weeks...the new version will have aluminium piping that will go all the way through the the inner guard area...you will have to cut the existing silicon hose shorter and clamp it to the new alumuminium piping...
On your passenger side you need to loosen the battery post clamp and spin it around a little and tighten it up...
Did you install the longer fuel line that was supplied in the kit??
see next message..only allowed 2000 letters per message

As for the pipe rubbing on the plastic washer bottle I dont have a solution....all of the previous kit dont touch there,....as soon as I next batch of mandrel bent aluminium piping arrives I will see how it fits in the jig..if something seems to be out of alignment I will make the neccesary adjustments and send you a new pipe...maybe you have a dude pipe that wasnt bent correctly
i will contact you as soon as we have some bits ready

hyperflow intercoolers wrote on 09-11-2003 04:46 PM At best the new pipes are still about 3 weeks away....
We still have to design the pipework..(which will be done in the next few days),..the prototypes then have to be sent out and mandrel bent, they come back to us and then have to be polished...
I will contact you when they are ready
Thanks, Kevin

well finally i kept e-mailing him and he e-mailed me back after about 5 trys and told me that he was leaving the company however he did not forget about me. he took my address and told me he would have the piping out to me in 3 days. so a week goes by i e-mail him and nothing. then i get an e-mail from sales@hyperflow.com.au and it was i guess his partner
he said keving is no longer with the company. i dont know what you had going on with him but figured i would let you know that. let me know if i can help you with anything. well obvioustly he knew something was going on since he mentioned something. but ive tried about 20 times to e-mail him and explain what was going on and have gotten no repolies... so i've wasted all this time for absolutley nothing. i will be posting up new pictures of the hyperflow crappy piping and hoses along with a full writeup on the quality of the product.
sorry this was so long. but i thought someone would like to know how the company was ran. and how they treat customers. thanks for reading

StlWrx, that is one of the worst customer service issues I've ever heard.
