no and actually the condoms were out of stock everywhere I looked.
I bought this paint for hi temp bulbs from Germany, can't remember the name right off hand.
and I should give props to the person on the board that wrote up that sweet tutorial, I refered to that to get in there for the ignition light and HVAC lights

Hey Jeff, it's all good he is good friend of mine, he was just busting my chops we go back and forth about stuff like that,
The true test is when I smoke his 68 Road Runner next spring
his road runner is running high 12's low 13's. A few mods for me and I'll be right there

I am pretty sure it's the same manufacturer (Lamco), I had it put on the right side because I didn't want it to block the temp guage or other stuff on the left side, at worse it only block the low mph on the speedo. the only other difference may be the boost level, but I am not sure about that.

How did you get the gauge out of the plastic housing?
I have the same boost gauge, and would like to change it from the white to the red of what you did... I just can't figure out how to pop the gauge out and not brake it because everytime I try to move it, I can feel the entire thing move... and I do not want to snap the base off of the steering colum...
Nice STI :-)
Thanks,
Nigel

what I did was remove the gauge pod from the column. there is a philips screw on the underside of the column, take that out. then the lower column cover can be removed. then there are 2 phillips screws that hold the top column cover in place, after you remove them the top column cover can be moved enough to get to the 2 screws holding the rubber gauge pod in place.
The gauge is in there really snug and there are no bolts fastening it to the rubber housing. I was reading some folks were going in from the front of the pod to wiggle it out. I took a long phillips and capped the tip with plastic. then went in where the wires go through the rubber pod and carefully found the bottom of the guage (where there are no inputs for the gauge) and gently pushed the guage out of the pod. after that it's self explanitory.
If you get stuck feel free to pm me and I can go into better detail, also that link I posted had an AWESOME!!! tutorial with excellent pictures that will walk you through most of it, that is where I got my info from and the only part I changed was how to get the gauge out of the pod.
good luck
John

For the rubber housing... does that split into two pieces?
I am going to remove the steering colum again, and unscrew those two screws that hold the boost gauge from underneath the colum... When you say you stuck the screw driver in from the front.. I "tried" this.. only for a couple seconds but stopped because it looked like I was "stretching" the front of the rubber part... I didnt' want to bend it all out of place to where it looks like an oval... instead of a circle... :-(
Thanks,
-Nigel
