Help-Hit
I need a shout -out!
A crazy lady ran a red light-broadsided the passenger side.
Thank God nobody hurt.
Wondering-
To what extent can a WRX wagon be repaired?
Is there a point of damage to where the car cannot be repaired?
There is bad damage to the door, panels, etc. I know these can be fixed. In on place, the steel re-inforcing beam shows thru.
I know this cannot be assessed sight unseen, But I was hoping to
read even preliminary feedback as to when and what might render the vehicle as totaled/unrepairable.
Any thoughts/experience etc. 'til I get the answere from the body and insurance people?
Thanks-Merry Xmas.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I don't know how much damage that crazy lady caused to your car, but as long as your car doesn't have major damage to the engine, doors and other part of the bodies can be fixed. Shop around the most expensive, best quality body shop in town and get an estimate from them. Let your insurance agent fight it. If you have a family/personal lawyer, i'd go thru him/her. This works better most of times (because you can sue the **** out of the lady, especially she ran a stop light). Let the lawyer have call the ladies' insurance company, and let them know you are not going to settle with little amount of settlement. And remember, the insurance company will TELL you to go get an estimate from their own body shop. Don't fall for their dirty trick. They're most likely to give you the lowest estiment.
but your car's not going to be same anymore. Any acciedent, (little or big) will **** up your car forever. Especially the paint job. No matter how good work they do, body shops never seem to match the original factory paint job. If i were you, i'd go see my lawyer and sue the lady and her insurance company, get your nice settlement check, fix the car and sell it - get a brand new WRX.
