Hmm, don't think they'll total it for just that damage. However, that's just my opinion. There might be a little frame damage but hard to tell. From here just looks like a new door and side skirt.

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. I hope everything gets worked out in your favor. I'm going through something similar right now.

It was raining and wet. i was traveling on a highway with no stop sign, guy ran a stop sign pulling in front of me. I tried to stop but ABS kicked in and i slid right into the back of the guy. CHP ruled it my fault because I was driving too fast. The posted speed limit was 45, I was going 35...

So much BS with terrible drivers. Good luck!

Yep, I got a ticket when my original WRX got totaled (not my fault) in 2003. The cop said "too fast to furious" under her breath as she walked up to hand it to me.

From that picture I don't know if it will be totaled or not. If it is, you can only take off whatever parts you are willing to replace. The insurance company requires that the whole car be there when they take possession.

It is always worth it trying to fight the ticket (you you actually have grounds to do so). What is the worst case scenerio? You will still have that ticket and your insurance will adjust accordingly.

yeah i lan on going to fight it especailly considering the cop screwed up the whole police report. stating no one was injured when i ended up in the hospital, also spelling my name wrong, saying i owned a 2 door coupe. and a bunch of other stuff.

I am neither a LEO or a laywer, would that be enough to get the ticket thrown out completely (since all of the information does not even match up)? Obviously bring all of the supporting documents; pictures of your "coupe" 4 door WRX, hospital/ambulance papers, etc. GL!

Rocker Panel is the Side Skirt of the car and that DOES NOT cost 2800 bucks or even close. a Brand new pair pre painted from Subaru Genuine Parts is like 200 or so.

Not saying the rocker panel will be 2800 but all the damage that needs to be done. We dont know how much it will cost. I said IF it comes to 2800 it will be totaled.

Well considering if its just the door and rocker panel. I would say 2500 is a good bet.

The rocker panel is the sheet metal under the side skirts.

The car looks like it can be repaired pretty easily. Used door, cut and weld in a rocker panel, little bit of paint and a new side skirt. Probably close to $2,300 when it's all done.

The name misspelling and coupe vs sedan is completely irrelevant and won't cause any ticket to be reversed.

The hospital papers might be what I'd work off of.
