there is just not enough power and too much traction. i have tried it many many times.
now on dirt, snow, etc. thats a different story

I tried drifting in the parking lot at work one day which had an inch of standing water on it from intense rain (there was severe flash flooding in the area from the same storm) There was too much traction, I couldn't do it.
FYI, I can drift no problem in the sand or on dirt.

inorder to do a well exicuted drift you need a rear wheel drive car inorder to controll the car. the rex being that it is an awd car it is very very hard as wrx ish already stated and hp is not really needed i went to the D1GP comp in irwindal ca and a AE 86 (86 toyota corolla) beat out 350, 180's, rx-7's, mr2's, skylines. and went on to win. but yes dont try to drift in a rex if you dont really want to fu#% up your car. just a word of the wise

yes that is true for a hachi roku
that is completly different from a wrx
