Down payments??
Hello all, I WILL be purchasing a wrx sooner or later (hopefully way sooner then later but anyway i was wondering what kinds of down payments people put on their baby and the payments they are experiencing. I am looking at getting it from a dealer and I am scared about hidden costs and the kinds of tax I will get caught on. If I were to wait a year I could put a bunch down but I would like to put just a few thousand down and have the precious thing soon, higher payments dont bother me as long as they arent INSANE.. Input is highly appreciated thanks

i currently do not own a wrx, but one should try to put a minimum of 20% down a car from what i have heard. i'm a student so i am going to try to put like between 70-100% down on my car. work is good so hopefully i will post some pics in a year. sux that i have to wait that long. for now i have to admire my friends wrx (generalwrx on this forum).

The minimum loan with the 0% 2year, 1.9% 3yr, 2.9% 4yr, 4.9% 5yr. Is 10,000 if u choose to take a loan for any less u will have to pay and larger rate about 5-7%. i know this. plus if u plan to take a loan on 10k at 4.9 your payin around 1200 in finance charges... think about 4yr loan payoff. 2.9% for 10k is only like 5-600 charges. OH and if u dont have a job your not getting a loan. I've been diabled for almost 4monthes now and tried buyin a white WRX before they went out of production but the bank returned the loan incomplete cuz i didnt have a job in the occupation blanx. goodluck to u all but, wait for the STI i've heard to many problems about the clutchs and tranis' in the WRX

i only put down 3000. my monthlies are 426/mo. was gonna hold out to have more to put down, but couldn't wait. the car was 25,500 O.T.D with performance package, spoiler, upgraded speakers. only wanted spoiler, but was the only model that came in that wasn't premium package

i'm hopefully gonna put down a little over 50% when i buy the wrx. and hopefully be able to qualify for 1.9% at 36 months.
i'd be so happy if i could do it that way.
EDIT: plus, whatever incentives subaru might have at the time for recent college grads (as i will be one at the time )
