Crack in windshield after just 4 days
I have a new STi that I bought Thursday and yesterday I noticed that I have small 'spiderlegs' crack in my windshield where a rock or similar object must have struck it. Kind of a bummer but I suppose I'll have to get the windshield replaced. Where do you suggest I take a car as new as this?

that sucks
I have all sorts of small pits in my windshield.. this past winter was a killer..
There is a way to minimize the look and stop the spreading of some windshield cracks. Check with your dealer, they may have a guy that fixes them, or you can try and buy the stuff yourself.. i don't recall what it was called though..

I was covered by comprehensive when my SE-R's windshield got cracked. I think I payed a 50 dollar deductable for a 300-400 dollar windshield.

There's no specific "windshield" coverage on my insurance but I have comprehensive coverage which should cover it. Or is windshield damage usually not covered for some reason under comprehensive??

it sounds like the crack is not on the edge of the windshield. if a crack starts from the edge and works its way in, it is a stress crack, and covered under warranty. if a rock hit you, it is not, that is your insurances problem. a windshield is covered under most comprehensive policies, usually a $50 deductable for glass.
