After designing my layout, I went thru all the fonts in my library and decided "Warning" worked best for the logotype. I didn't "steal" this font, it's very common and it's not his. If you're a designer, then you know that you don't just pick one font right off. I saw how "i-Club" looked in every font in my library(about 600) and decided the rounded corners of "Beware" works best with the oval and cornerless star in the logo. All the other rouned fonts were too long or cryptic. I'm not about to change it just because some people seem to be under the false impression that it's "his".
When it came time to fit in the additional text I wanted the logo to stand on it's own without it if need (like for decals), and the best way to do that was to fit it on top and bottom. How would you have incorporated it? There wasn't any other way that worked well.

I did the same thing with the tire logo, but I pointed out "I'm playing with YOUR design", instead of claiming that I came up with it all from scratch.

Still.. The topic isn't "who stole my kungfu and made it look like play fighting".. It isn't "watch the 420 guy start a big argument"..! No! We're here to make a logo that Imprezer can use to make this place look better. Lets get back to logos!!

You made a lot of uneducated accusations.
If you're wrong I'm going to let you know about it.
I'm half-tempted to come up with a really crappy logo design and append it to this post, because I'm so blatantly off-topic and begging for moderation.
Ahh what the heck, it only takes 5 minutes!

Now 420wrx...
Lets take it easy on this little boy. He's much to young to realize his mistakes. And we must encourage him to become honest with himself first, then and only then will he see the errors of his way.
Peace, Love and Harmony to all that don't cheat. Misery, pain, and misfortune to those that do.
Bxm,
Your still in school so I forgive you, but the professional world is not going to be as forgiving.
A word from the wise... Don't burn the bridge, because someday 420wrx might be your boss.

Even worse, accusing me of being uneducated, based on your misinterpretations of my statements, makes you appear, atleast in my opinion, just a bit less street-smart. (How's that for a scathing insult?) Honestly, your design really looks like option E with a star and a swoosh added to it. Nobody would falsely say that's the case unless we know you or have some motivation to make stuff up.

Aaaactually.. You can count on a garbage in, garbage out, response from anything computer related. I was just replying to your insult, and I was only stating how your post changed my personal opinion of your "street-smarts". I did not overstate it as a fact or anything more than opinion. I suppose I also pointed out your error on my educational background, and while it may be insulting to be wrong, you claim that you will "always let someone know when they are wrong". Can't fault me for that can you?
To be truthfull.. If you honestly meant that I'm artistically uneducated, you would only be partially wrong.. I took 3 years of elective art classes, and won several awards each year, maintaining a "grade" equivalant to A+. After that I took 2 years of CAD/Drafting courses, which caused me to fall in love with mechanics and computers. I have taken a few local 'community' courses in 3DSMax and Photoshop, helped draft out some furniture and additions for buildings, but the most "professional" use of my skills has been as a level designer for Quake/2/HL, and creating some web sites. So while I do know a fair bit on the topic of graphics/fonts, you are correct in that I'm not a "professional".
Keep in mind though, it's honestly not what the professionals think that matters most, and even though it matters more what the general audience thinks, the most important thing about anything is what you think of it. You cannot be insulted, even by someone drawing comparisions to other people's work, once you realize that.

I was insulted that you thought I designed this with copying matt's design in mind. I'm an illustrator/animator, so what came to mind wasnt text layout or fonts, but the image of the name inside the subaru oval, beside the star. Regarless of what the two of you say, I did not copy matt's design and create a graphic around it. Saying your accusations were uneducated wasnt intended as an insult.
Anyway I still think my logos are good and make the best incorporation of Subaru indicia so far, especially since they're not generation- or model-specific.

It's cool.. I've been on the net too long to really take insult, it's getting so bad that soon I will have to work myself up to get a good angry post rolling.
Though I can't believe you didn't like my work! Was it the extra star? I was rushing, I counted 5 but I had 6!
D'oh!

No I liked your logo... See you got 7 stars if ya count the big one, and since the constellation Subaru actually has 7 stars, your logo's more accurate than Subaru's! Score one for U.S!

What contraversy? (hehe) Were all one big happy family here.
Honest opinion from a professional Graphic Designer:
- I like the other font better.
- The swoosh is to verticle, making the logo to tall. Make it more streamlined. Rotate it clock-wise.
- I like the swoosh pointing at the .com
- Add the dot within the big star for the i
Good luck and may the best man win!

Alright.
I see I saw enough diff logo's.
Give me a day or so to pick 3-5 diff designs and have you guys vote for it. After all, it will be YOUR logo, so I don't want to decide for you.
Thank you to all those who have contributed to the logo selection.
