cartalk review of wrx (not very good)
Hummm.... the cartalk guys dont give the wrx a very positive review.... they actually call it a dog... the graphic is interesting, though. By the way, I have a java '04 sitting at home which I am missing very much while stationed at Edwards Air Force Base with a rental corolla- talk about a real dog.
"we caution anyone who doesn't drive like a knucklehead to take a pass on the WRX"
"we suspect this engine will suffer from premature wear and tear"
"you'll find yourself shifting a lot, because--as we described--there's very little low-end power"
"And what have you got then? An overweight Subaru Impreza (3,165 pounds). "

Car Info: 02 WRX wagon=dead; rollin' in a Craptastic Camry!
Take what these guys say with a grain of salt. It's more of a comedy talk show than serious "car talk".
These guys fall into a lot of American Driver Stereotypes. They like heavy cars equipped with slushboxes and lots of low end torque.

damn...i used to really like those guys too. How slow are they taking corners if they have to downshift into first gear??!! I dont know of any car I've driven that likes to be downshifed into first gear, this is not just a Subaru thing.
Jeeeshh..dont be such a couple pansies, use the gas pedal!

I guess all the idiots who write for C&D, motortrend, Consumer Reports, et. al. really were wrong...wait, maybe the simpler (Sp?) solution is that these guys knew that they weren't going to write a favorable review...after all, what's the point of just rewriting what's already been written. Or maybe they can't drive or standard? Oh well, they can come by my place and I'll teach 'em!
