Can you point me in the right direction??
Hello All
I am a current audi s4 driver and I am getting rid of it in January. The STi is tops on my list as a replacement. I was wondering if you guys could help me out in making a decision. There were all kinds of things i did not know about the audi before purchase and i would have done things different in which year i would of bought. I am trying not to make that mistake again, any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated, I would for surely be modding the car, any suggestions on a mod list in order of importance? How are the dealers when servicing a modded car? Are they horrible like the audi stealerships always threatening to void warranty on things that have nothing to do with the mod? Any info you think would be helpful is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

dealerships depend on where you take your car in. modding it can cause them to give you a hassle, depending on where you go.
do a search on mods, the review section has a lot of information that you would be interested in.
if you are looking for a backyard brawler car with lots of brute force then check the sti out. if you like your leather and other comforts then maybe you should look around a bit

Good mods for a factory stock car are some type of engine management such as a Cobb AccessPORT and possibly some aftermarket brake pads, stainless braided lines, and synthetic brake fluid if you track your car.

Like others said, depending on the dealership, If you put too much air in your tires they will void the warranty lol. The STi is a great car out of the box and with a turbo back exhaust and engine management like he accesport or ecutek, its A LOT of fun to drive. With minor suspension mods like a RSB and endlinks some springs like prodrive or STi pinks the STi handles great. Its a great car and no matter what you will def enjoy it. I've never met someone who has boughten a subaru and has regretted it.

if u want, u could just purchase a pre-made package of parts that go good together, those almost always send you in the right direction
i, personally, am going to be purchasing a vishnu 300hp package hopfully in teh near future for my wrx

If you are serious, I would say take one out for a test drive. Whether it be at a dealership or from one of the members on the board. If you do end up buying one, drive it around for a couple of hundred miles and see where the car needs "improvement." Then based on your findings, do searches and see which brand works best or what others suggest. This is my opinion. I think everyone has a different tuning philosophy. Your own ideas are the best. But good luck on the car.
