I have a Perrin TMIC that has about 35k on it. Went to take it off the other day and BOTH brackets on the left and right side broke off! More like they fell off once the bolts were unscrewed. Bolts used were the ones that came with and of course I used the washers as well. I last took it off 6 weeks or so ago and there was no signs of fatigue or cracking. I can't imagine I over torqued the bolts since I never put them on tight since the IC comes on and off frequently with mods and maintenance. Has anyone experienced this problem on ANY other top mount before?? Could it be excessive engine movement? Could I have over torqued? Is it the cold? I've emailed Perrin about the issue. One of the cracks was right along the IC by the weld, the other diagonal across the bracket. Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
