Break In Road Trip

Break In Road Trip
I just purchased my new WRX Wagon with 92 miles on it from a dealer in Tennessee. I have to fly home from Chicago to pick it up and then drive it back.
I know in order to properly break the engine in and to ensure smooth driving for years to come I must not let the engine rise over 4-4.5 k RPMs, and I must warm it up properly and vary the speed for the first 1000 miles. There seems to be some debate on this, but the majority agrees.
However, I have a 650 mile road trip in front of me. If I keep my speed constantly variable from 55-80 and I make sure the RPMs see some variation from 1.5(coasting in neutral) to 4k will this set the seals in a proper fashion?
Thanks,
Stevo

I have the same thing ahead of me !! Well, not really! I'm flying out to Texas from CT to pickup a 2001 2.5RS, i'll post pics when i get it. But that's a 1623 mile road trip, and it already had 18K miles on it......so i guess it's not the same thing at all, cept for the road trip part. Good Luck !
