So true, that cat just restrict so much. It basiclly comes down to getting a up-pipe, donwpipe and get ride of that cat or find a high flo one. Then the tip/muffler is up to you. But don't think you could just buy a tip and get great gains......

Am I correct in saying that getting a complete turbo back exhaust gives you all of the above as far as pieces go? I'm hell bent on a complete turbo back exhaust for the fact that I want the most power from an exhaust system... even though I have to somehow pass emmissions here...lol I just have to find someone that will give me the emmission sticker or pay them a couple bucks on the side....

a complete turbo back replaces everything but the up-pipe

you still need a separate up-pipe to get rid of all the cats

I have heard that getting rid of all the cats messes up the ECU is this correct? I have seen on MANY sites a CEL fix... to me this looks like a fancy box or shrunk wrapped peice of plastic with a resistor and 4 wires coming out of it... Is this correct?

Also the uppipe is what connects the turbo to the exhaust or is the uppipe connecting the intake to the turbo..? I am confused on the difference between the up pipe, and down pipe?

Thanks :-)

If you really don't care about sound, you can just disconnect your stock turboback. Zero restrictions, "loudness means nothing, all about the power." My opinion of the best exhaust is Vishnu's Signature Series turboback. No one has tested EVERY exhaust available on the same car, on the same dyno, on the same day. No one ever will, so you'll have to make your decision based on alot of anecdotal and marketing claims as well as dyno results.
