Anyone think the new Legacy or other models might show up as platforms for GM/SAAB...
...in the future?
With all of the parts sharing and in breeding that seems to be going on with domestic and foreign companies, wont further subaru based models like the 92-x seem inevitable?

[QUOTE=cbordeaux]Anyone think the new Legacy or other models might show up as platforms for GM/SAAB in the future?[QUOTE]count on it. The General has a long and notorious history of brutal stealing of parts and entire models from its holdings. witness the recent rebirth of the oz Holden as a GTO. years ago, GM bought into Isuzu. they've sold Isuzu's as Chevrolets and GM products badged as Isuzus. now Isuzu's presence in the US market is represented by a single SUV model (no cars) and the buzz among the Isuzu dealers is that they are soon to be toast. GM ownership in Subaru and Saab will bring no good to either one.

the only reason subaru joined up with saab is because of parent company gm- from them we get huge support in parts stock-which subaru obviously has always been week in. from my last subaru training seminar- i gathered that the legacy will be subarus "foot in the door" in terms of grabbing a huge share of the u.s. market in terms of volume-
i don't think they will plan on "sharing" any more models anytime soon. . . unless its a platform that is kinda "outdated" and ready for a facelift soon. .. hence the wrx wagon(impreza platform in general)
