his name on the boards is SILKY. heres a taste of what he has to say..
i used to think that most subaru guys stood out from the "rice crowd", and really respected them. i hope he doesnt stand for anything you guys are

That's a stupid point about it being newer... but if you insist: Try a STI from any year previous. It will beat the crap out of anything VW makes... but we'll just stick with the r32. And so what if it's had many years running and several itterations? So has a golf... point being? Actually you haven't made one yet so never mind.
I like your second paragraph though, very reverant and respectful, stating plainly that you acknowledge the STI to be the r32's daddy. Good for you. Because amongst so-called enthusiasts what should matter more than performance? Ohhh yes I forgot which forum I was on... here it's the quality of cow skin that matters. My apologies for thinking any of you here were something other than 55 year old women.
And stop going back to the r32 versus plain WRX. I know it's the only thing you can argue with some merit but please remember the r32 is against the STI not the base wrx. It doesn't bother me one bit that a more expensive car and best some
track times by 1 second so don't feel that you're in some way getting at me. It's the damn SRT-4 that gets me!!!
Ohh and subaru is releasing prodrive staged kits for the wrx. Full warranty. Mopar can lick me. Remember the more power the SRT gets the more power it will waste through it's one stupid wheel. The more power a AWD car gets the more it will plant and use to dispatch its competition.

Dont worry though; we arn't (well most of us arn't) like that. Most people you will find on these fourms are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and are unbelivibly helpful!

Ya, every board has its trolls... He sure types alot though...
Im not a big fan of the R32, but is nice to finally see VW bring a serious performance orientated car to the states. The GTI got way to mushy recently I was starting to question whether they were an "enthusiast" brand anymore...

i talked to the guy, and all is well.. is a prtty cool kid, but jsut has a hot head. wrx handle very well, but comparing the sti to the r32 is kinda wrong. they were both built ofr differenct purposes.
i think i will always love VW, but i will also always keep in mind the fact that there are other greats cars out ther on the road

I've read some boards and searched around. The WRX group has the nicest guys here. I've seen some rare occasions of someone mouthing off at another person, but all in all everyone can't follow all the rules. =P

Car Info: dream car Subaru STi
i didnt understand. was he saying the r32 was better than the STi? well i think, no i mean i know. the STi will woop on the r32. the r32 is sweet car though, awd, brembos more hp than the WRX yet the 0-60 aint nothing compared to Subaru. its all about 0-60 =) also i know a friend who has the VW gti v6. from wat i see he has lots of problems with the electrical wiring and stuff. i wouldnt by VW's. Subaru is much more reliable in my opinion. Sti in my opinion OWNS the streets. yes i want one so bad i just cant wait. and if i cant get one.. ill be happy with the normal WRX, that baby can own too just not as dominating as the STi.

dude....i have to say though, i do love vw. i know a kid with a GTI that walked all over my w. well 3rd and up it was like i was standing still and vw does have quality, they last a while. the other most kick *** thing that vw does is there turbo diesels. there is yellow TD beetle up here is syracuse that is fast as **** and with only very very minor and inexpensive mods. he gave me a run for my money...it was great. Black smoke pouring out the exhaust! its got like 250ish torque and only 115 hp but it hauls ***. and i know you will probably just say i can't drive but i can drive well enough to romp on trans ams and of course Mustangs!! Beetles also handle a lot better than the wrx's....i know you won't believe me, but check any book! wrx's are very low in handling....but thats mostly cause of the tires. I am not saying that the GTI or TDI are better thant he wrx, cuase they aren't but damn they are sweet and easily and cheaply modded. DIESEL MAN!!! COME ON......SO BAD ***!!!
