Insurance

Here in VA I pay $478 every six months for liability w/ comprehensive that has $0 deductible. My insurance company is Rockingham Mutual but on my statements they have Progressive written on them . That comprehensive came in handy b/c a semi just threw a rock into my windshield last week. Luckily, this isn't going to cost me a dime. I'm also 22 years old and have a 21 mph over speeding ticket on my record. Also, I have the Impreza L 2.2 and you will have the 2.5 RS, but I doubt the insurance will be that much different. Do you want the 2-door or 4-door? This may make a difference in insurance cost. I see your new, and maybe you have heard about these sites, but here are some very useful information related websites:

www.nasioc.com
www.scoobymods.com
www.cobbtuning.com
www.vividracing.com
http://home.att.net/~teaguesauto/index.htm
www.subaruparts.com

I ran high 15s . my best 3 times: 15.98, 15.90, & 15.88. , with completly stock 98 2.5rs (without the spare).
IllNastyImpreza: Maybe you are a better driver than the guys who test them out everyday at Car & Driver, but usually they are pretty close. I think its hard to get in someone else's car and drive it better than they can because they are used to the clutch, tranny, shifter, and all the other little things that factor in like altitude, temperature, etc.

i believe there are 3 cats in the rex...insurance can go from 800 to 2000+...theres a thread on how much $ people pay for insurance that you should search for..it depends on age, the car, and the # of accidents

restricting

I'm not sure of the RS' exhaust ID, but my 98 L has 1 7/8" stock piping. This week sometime, I will be adding 2.25" from the last catalytic converter to a 2.25" inlet/outlet Thrush perforated straight thru core glasspack which will connect to my mirror finished dual 3" tipped Magnaflow. Also, don't hold me to it, but I have read somewhere that 2-3 psi backpressure on N/A cars is optimal.
