Being that I owned a WRX for 2 years(now have an STi) I was never impressed with the performance all the way across the board even after I had done quite a bit of work to it. The STi is so much better of a car in every aspect and is everything I wanted my WRX to be and a lot more.

 

I was talking about the stopping power of the Subaru 4 pots vs. the Brembo 4 pots. With some better lines, rotors, and brake fluid the brembos can be a lot better, but stock for stock, the difference is not that much of a factor.


rex408- maybe you got a bad set of brakes on your car. I would go to the dealership and have them take a look at them and make sure everything is alright.

 

your friend has a 03..more than likely he does not have stock brake pads..for example hawk hp+ pads vs. stock pads will show a very noticable difference in stopping power..more thank likely thats the situation.

 

i drive the fastest car on my block, so i have given plenty of rides, the first thing people say after catching there breath is wow this stops fast! to the point you feel like your going to get a nose bleed, there is no doubt in my mind it's your car.

 

apparently you're close if you have the same brakes he does now...

 

It could be you brakes are bad or deffective the the car back to deales it might be under warranty.

 

Could also be the good ol' ID 10t user error...
