So for those that don't know I had my wrx totalled in december. I am looking for a new one and have been waiting for the 04s to at least come out so I can see what the pricing is. The 2 dealers in my area got them yesterday and the dealer I like has a silver one in stock. Does anyone know what the pricing will be on the new car versus the old one. Also the price of the moonroof and heated seats. Plus will any delaers give any discounts or are these window sticker only for the first few months. I will find all this out and more tonight, but I was curious if anyone knows.

Well I answered my own question. I just bough my new 04 wrx tonight. I get to pick it up tomorrow after work. I can't wait. There are a lot of nice things they changed on the 04s. I'm excited to finally have my wrx back. I bought the old one 367 days ago! I have been without for 3 months now and I can't wait to have the new one. It's going to be a great weekend!

I will post some pictures tonight. I was at the dealer until 730pm last night and took a bunch of pictures at night, and I am picking her up tonight (hopefully it won't be dark yet!) and I will take some more. After I take the long way home I will be sure to post some pictures for everyone.

Anyways, i have a prediction. I think in about 5-8 years from now, the 02-03 wrx's will be considered a cult classic, hence the round bug-eye lights that (maybe) subaru will never ever duplicate (too many mixed reactions towards them).

But they will be considered a rare commodity in due time. Just believe it.

Well I love my new car and I din't pay too too much for it. I spent about400 more for it than if I had bought an 03. It has no options on it now, but they are owed to me. They aparently can't put 03 parts on an 04 car even though we all know they will fit. I don't have a wing, but I am owed one, but the more I see the car without it the more of a sleeper it becomes which is a good thing. They have done a lot to the car, and I like the 04 more than the 02/03. It's been 3 months since my 03 was wrecked, but I feel right at home in the new one. i was at the big dealer in maine yesterday and checked out the 04's. they had like 9-10. couple wagons. one sedan i checked had a price of 24,500. they also had the new red color in the showroom. i like that one a lot. the seats are nice too. i got in and sat for a minute. i have to say i like the new style a lot more.
o, i also happened to go to the mistu dealer and they had an EVO!!! wooooo. it had 5 things on it saying "please do not touch, or lean against." they wouldn't even open the hood for me, or sit in it. but it is very hot. huuuuuuge brakes. carbon wing, very sexy. they had sold one, and just had the silver one left. he said the markup was about 6k. not too bad. the suby dealer said he was getting two STi's, both sold obviously. can't wait to see that baby!!

A new 10D owner also. I just sold my D60 and have one on order.

Unfortunately none of the Subaru dealers in my area know anything official about the 2004s. They have no pricing and no option info at all. I was hoping to get a wagon with a moonroof, but am totally at a loss now that it seems SOA isn't letting us have the wagons. GRRRRR. Now I have to choose between a 2004 Sedan or a 2003 Wagon for a few $1000 less. There's one white 2003 wagon sitting on a lot 2 hours away where the dealer just quoted invoice. I can probably talk him down a bit and that'd be the most sensible thing to do, but I really want a moonroof! Damn you SOA!

 

Daring, there ARE wagon avaliable. When I went into the dealer to get my car Friday they had just recieved a 04 silver wagon with no options. They look great too. My dealer doens't know anything about the 04s either. I knew more about the car than they did! They have no pricing, and all my options that "came with the car" are not even at the dealer yet. They think that they will come in in a week or two, but no one knows. They won't put 03 options on an 04 car. What really sucks is that when my old wrx was totalled I could have taken all the options of of it and put them in the new one, but I didn't.

I am from newport RI and the pictures are all taken around our area. The cat is a Blue Russian from the shelter my wife works at.

X1Srt: There is no way you saw a sedan at 24,500. That is the WAGON price with no options. The Sedan base sticker is 25,045 and the wagon is very close if not exactally 500 less.

 

Sorry, I should've clarified. I meant "wagon with moonroof option". From the sounds of it, only the sedans are getting the moonroof option and I really want a wagon witih moonroof.
