Honestly, money isnt a problem. Im not saying I have $300,000 waiting to build this thing up. But I do have time. If it takes 4yrs to build this then so be it. I highly doubt this will become the latest kraze, so the fear of 100+ people accomplishing this by the time I get to isnt very likely. I know its gonna cost an assload of money, maybe even two assloads, but thats one of the things that comes with building a car. The only thing stopping me is the whole aerodynamics of the car. Thats what worries me.

With Crawford, that's 200 in a quarter mile. That's acceleration not raw speed. It could probably be done w/ a little less money. Focus on aero

For all thos esaying it isnt possible.
Everything is possible.
JUN were the first to take a Suby over the 200 MPH mark in Austrailia. There is video of it to boot. Start searching. The thing sounds like a jet engine.

Also just as a side note.
The highest HP NA is 290 AWHP for a Suby. Also online so search.

Gearing is the biggest factory and not HP.

I think one of our old buddies, who has now moved to Hawaii was wanting to get together with a company to get a custom made gearset to get 200+ mph. When I knew him, all he had done so far was a large FMIC, but last I haerd (through another friend) he was getting a larger turbo and other required mods. If anyone knows Alexis in Hawaii (Yamakazi?) tell him about this thread.

Hell 300 HP is pointless.
Like climbing a mountain. The point is to do it.

you can feel and use 300 hp, when would anyone hit 200 mph? i hope not on a highway... just think it would be a waste of your time and money

IIRC, Doesnt the (FQ400)EVO go 175 stock? i know its only 25 more Miles/Hour that you would need to achieve your goal. Listen to everyone saying AeroDynamics is the key to helping you reach those 25 or so miles per hour ..

Car Info: Subaru Impreza WRX STi Blue/Silver
You'd need something other than the STi 6-speed. It is gear limited to ~172 in the STi. This means you're at redline in 6th at 172 mph. I've done this before in my car, and it's only ~280 WHP. I think 200 would not be all that hard to hit if the gearing was there. Maybe a turbo upgrade and a tune.

WRX top speed: 155mph
STi top speed: 180mph.

^Thats only 20mph away. Add some mods and change the gearing and it'll make it.
