i am a bit of a newbie as far as subarus go.
i just bought a 98 impreza wagon brighton. (canada)
it has the 2.2 boxer.
i am having difficulties finding engine upgrade for the 2.2 as most are for thee 2.5.
i am also interested in a rear spoiler for the wagon. top and mid skirt.
any help would be appreciated.
ps. i am aware that most suby owners don't fully appreciate the impreza wagon, but for some reason i find then damn groovy

 

2.2's are fine engines. Most sohc 2.5 parts will work for you (exhaust, intakes, cams) as well as all the suspension and brake parts.
The 2.2 is the underdog performance motor, don't know why everyone is obsessed with big spoilers, rocker moldings and power windows.
Read the proper areas of the board, and you'll pick up what works on your car. Most Impreza parts thru 2001 are interchangeable, so modding isn't that hard, though getting big gains without a turbo is.
