04 WRX. pics, and unforunate event
Ever since the WRX came out I knew it was the car for me. AWD + turbo = whoa. I came into possession of a beautiful 2004 on Wednesday. I love the car. I traded in my 2001 Sentra SE, which had some pep, but is nothing compared to this asphalt eating cruise missle.
I've spent the past few days breaking it in and working. Friday night rolls around and I decide to have a couple drinks and play darts at a downtown bar with friends. I left the car unattended for about two hours total. I can't believe it gets keyed two days after I get it!
I awake this morning to see some wonderful key marks along the driver side and a ding on the trunk.
front fender
rear door
This dialogue sums up how I'm feeling right now:
-------------------
LANCE: Still got your Malibu?
VINCENT: You know what some ****er did to it the other day?
LANCE: What?
VINCENT: ****in' keyed it.
LANCE: Oh man, that's ****ed up.
VINCENT: Tell me about it. I had the goddamn thing in storage three years. It's out five ****in' days -- five days, and some dickless piece of **** ****s with it.
LANCE: They should be ****in' killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution.
VINCENT: I just wish I caught 'em doin' it, ya know? Oh man, I'd give anything to catch 'em doin' it. It'a been worth his doin' it, if I coulda just caught 'em, you know what I mean?
LANCE: It's chicken ****. You don't **** with another man's vehicle.
- Pulp Fiction
-------------------
It was definitely a random act of jealousy. A friend at a body shop owes me a favor, so I'll have him check it out. I think most of it will buff out or get fixed with touch up paint. Insurance would cost me $500. Any suggestions? I love the car, but its a rough way to start my relationship with it.

Car Info: 2002 WRX with BOV, mudflap
man it sucks. I got a few deny in a parking lot within a month. people are sometimes just so careless or not being responsible. u know, the worst time is I went to golf and the dude just slide his golf bag on the right side, leaving a mark like a key marks on both doors.

I feel for ya man. The apartment complex where I live has a serious problem with people keying and debadging cars in the parking lot and carports. When I purchase my WRX I guess I’ll have to pay $100 extra in rent for a garage. Either that or I’ll have to sleep in the car with a baseball bat and rope to drag them around with.

Yeah I guess so. Must have been some "AFRICAN-AMERICAN" that did it.
Anyways, the scratches are almost completely gone! I used some 3M products from my friend's car shop and they cleaned up very nicely. I was astonished to see how much they improved. It took about 30 minutes of work.

How deep were the scratches? Or were they even scratches at all? Because I've used every single type of scratch remover, including the 3M stuff, and they've worked sub-par. Well, glad to see the products worked for you.
*edit* My bad, I just took a look at some of the pics above. They are definately scratches. lol!
