#$!@(^ window sticker
This is probably a lousy first post, but it's past my bedtime (haven't been able to sleep well this week) and even though I need to get up really early for a videoconference with Japan this is driving me crazy!
I got my '04 WRX SW TODAY! I just spent an ungodly amount of time trying to remove the window sticker, managed to tear it a couple of times and there is still a white rectangle of sticky paper on the rear window where it used to be. Is there a recommended (easy) way to remove this sh*t? I'll probably be out in the parking lot with some WD-40 and Windex, but it seems like the sticker should be a lot easier to remove than this! Maybe I'm just used to the easy-to-remove non-elaborate USDM window stickers ;-)
Oh, and keeping the car under 4 grand makes me a sad panda.

I thought about a razor blade, but thankfully cooler heads prevailed (something about sleep deprivation and a new car, oh yeah and doing this in the dark). Looks like the "halo" will at least be on the car through the workday...
(this seems to be the closest smiley approximation of what I'm feeling right now -- combination of new car jitters, insomnia and mexican food taking its revenge)

I agree that WD-40 and Windex is the way to go. Makes it really easy to remove sticker goo from the window. The dealer should probably have removed the window sticker.
I used WD-40 to remove my "Subaru OK" decal because the decal is misleading. Subaru's are cool, not just "OK"!
