Why would you spend $700 on a cat-back when you can get a turbo-back for $450 or so that will perform exactly the same?

A blow-off valve will hurt the performance of your car, not help.

And a turbo timer is definately not a needed mod. If you aren't comfortable modifying your car's wiring, you cant even lock the doors while the turbo timer is running, meaning that it is pretty much useless since you have to wait for the car to shut off. And, under normal conditions a timer isnt even necessary for our cars.

The mods that I suggested are going to give you the most power for your dollars. If you want the car to handle better, spend the cash on some used 17 wheels/tires. Then ebay your stockers and buy a mattspec exhaust. After that, gut your uppipe.

That would actually give you the BEST bang for your buck. Your car will handle much better and have noticably more power and torque.

You will also be ready for a stage 2(I think) reflash to even further enhance the power/drivability of your car.

it certainly looks like a good deal, but i would be wary of anything that sounds too good to be true....like a turbo-back for $400. the tenabe cat-back is expensive, but it is quality...which, at least on my car, is something i value. if its worth doing, do it right. spend the extra money or you may regret it later.

 

If I could start over again I'd probably buy a UTEC or other form of engine management before I bought anything else. They usually cost more than $700 but you might be able to find a deal on one.

If you built it exactly as shown, you would be using stainless steel piping(better than greddy evo, same as everyone else basically) a magnaflow cat(or no cat for a small savings, but a high flow cat doesnt suck horsepower like the stockers) and a borla muffler.

Those are all quality parts, and it will be custom built to match your specific vehicle.

When you buy a tanabe exhaust you are paying more for brand name and the advertising that it takes to build one than for actual quality(same with other brands, not just tanabe)

Yeah very interesting link!!! I am very interested in it. I would be looking at Stromung exhaust stuff, not anything like apexi or tanabe or anything like that. I also am still thinking about the AccessPORT....

 

get an accessport. the stock exhaust is good til bout 300 hp. wouldnt it be rice i mean nice to have a accessport with stock muffler and a cobb dp and uppipe? boy that would be stealth. or you can buy 400 bux worth a stickers and get a big *** exhaust tip and some neon. hahah geez i just turned around and the subaru commercial is on tv.
